Thursday 7/30- Mont Joli, Canada to Philadelphia

HOME!   WE left Mont Joli, Canada this morning and landed about 3 hours later in Manchester, New Hampshire.  We had called U.S. Customs and they were there to meet us (1st pix).   The Customs procedure was friendly and efficient.

We took off from Manchester and flew a few minutes to Nashua to return our rented survival gear.  Ed Carlson, who was so helpful with information about the crossing, was there to meet us.  We left him the life raft, two immersion suits, and ELT's (Emergency Locator Transmitters).  We talked a bit and then took off for the two hour flight to Northeast Philadelphia Airport (bottom pix).  The trip was wonderful but it was also good to get home.

We covered a lot of territory.  We landed in 26 cities in 19 foreign countries, with 18 different currencies and 16 different languages (other than English).  We met wonderful people and had a trip that we will never forget.

This is the last page we will add to this section of our trip.  Over the next weeks we will change the site a bit.  We will leave the daily pages and a new.  We want to help others who travel, either by their own aircraft or otherwise with some of the things we have learned.  We will add a section on Aviation and Travel Tips.

We hope you enjoyed following our trip.  We certainly enjoyed putting it together each day for you, and really enjoyed your email.  Thank you again.
